Exclusive: AEW Star Will Ospreay Fires Warning To Jon Moxley Before Dynasty

Last seen wrestling at a PPV in 2025, Will Ospreay was put out of action by a brutal attack by Jon Moxley and The Death Riders back at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 in his hometown of London.

Undergone a neck surgery and now recovered, Ospreay is all geared up to take down Moxley and his minions. Hours before his AEW Dynasty Continental title match against Moxley, Ospreay spoke to ClutchPoints for an exclusive interview, where he delivered a chilling and personal final warning to Moxley.

“Six months of my life you took from me. My kid is terrified of you. Now on this Sunday, I get it for 20 minutes. 20 minutes is not gonna come anywhere near the six months that I’ve ever felt that I’m gonna make you feel so much in those 20 minutes. You’ll never forget what you did to me,” dedicated to avenging his family’s trauma, Ospreay will take on Moxley in a 20-minute time limit match at Dynasty.

“This match has got a lot of, a lot of things riding on it. Obviously, the fact that I’ve been out, this is gonna be my first pay-per-view match that I’ve had since coming back. I set such a high quality and a high level of standard when it comes to pay-per-view quality,” Ospreay continued.

“So there, always that level of, I hope I can still be what I once was because it is a different animal; I’ve had singles matches, but there’s nothing that compares to a pay-per-view to have that. And obviously, this match to me is all just about getting revenge.”

Is the upcoming match more for the title, or is it just personal? Ospreay believes that while the title will be well looked after under his possession, the upcoming match is more about getting his hands on Moxley.

What is Will Ospreay’s position on the AEW roster?

A former AEW International Champion, Ospreay found himself absent from the roster for several months due to his neck injury. Now back into the mix, Ospreay detailed his position on the roster.

“I do see myself getting to the top somehow. I do see that there is a hierarchy in the locker room. There are top guys, there are middle guys, and there are bottom guys, and I do not wanna be at the bottom anymore; I wanna be fine for the top, and I believe in my heart that I can make it to the top, but I just have to be smart and protective about what my body can and can’t do.”

Will Ospreay and Alex Windsor decided to live in the UK because of their child

The father of one, Ospreay, is dedicated to taking down Moxley because of the trauma he caused his child. An extremely loving father figure, Ospreay and his fiancée, Alex Windsor, decided to reside in the UK because of their child. Despite the “hassle” of regularly traveling between England and the USA, Ospreay and Windsor continue to do so because of their child.

“It is a crazy hassle. It’s something that I cannot, and I would not wanna put on a lot of the people who think that they want this position. I talk to Al [Alex Windsor] about it, the more I sometimes can see the benefit of having a place that we could call a home here [in the USA], but I just, this is just me, but now having a 7-year-old child, it’s not just about myself and Al anymore, it’s about the kid. So I don’t want to bring him up in America,” Ospreay admitted.

“I think, like, it’s just a personal preference. I just prefer to bring him up in a country where I understand the rules and restrictions, and I just don’t wanna get in any trouble. So it’s just, I’d much rather keep him in England where I know he’s got a better chance of being more safe. So I’ll happily enjoy that travel schedule, and so will my wife, just as long as he has the safety.”

What matches should fans watch to know Will Ospreay?

With approximately 1122 career matches (as per Cagematch), Ospreay, in his interview with ClutchPoints, narrowed it down to two matches that fans should watch to know his character better.

“That’s a tough one. It depends on who you’re showing them. If you’re showing a wrestling fan, I would say show him something like [me] vs. Shingo Takagi at the Best of the Super Juniors in 2019. That’s when I feel I really did discover what I enjoy with pro wrestling and how I formulated how I see myself as a wrestler. But if you were to show someone who has no idea about what wrestling is. I would say show them me versus [Konosuke]Takeshita at Revolution [2024], because I think that was just a pie.”

Is Will Ospreay coming for the AEW World Championship?

With just months left for AEW’s biggest show, All In, to take place at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, Ospreay opened up about his plans to go after the AEW World title and other championships after potentially securing the Continental title from Moxley.

“Yes, obviously, I would love to be competing for the world title and the continental title did formulate an idea in my head about going for the international title afterwards, and trying to get the unified belt again, and then actually keeping it unified this time would be kind of cool. I [like] the idea of being the Triple Crown in AEW as well,” Ospreay smiled. He also liked our idea of becoming a belt collector like Mercedes Moné, as he nodded and smiled.
