Arsenal may have had one less fan celebrating their Premier League triumph with Jack Wilshere playing a major role in proceedings

Jack Wilshere won’t have one fan cheering for him when he competes in Soccer Aid this weekend. The Arsenal hero will play in the annual charity clash at Wembley on Sunday alongside former England team-mates Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott and Jermain Defoe.
The 34-year-old remains a popular figure in north London but lost a supporter over his romantic life. Wilshere previously dated hair stylist Lauren Neal, with whom he shares two children.
After splitting up in 2014, Wilshere began dating Andriani Michael. His former friend Starzi Kyriacou claimed he used to date Andriani and said Wilshere’s decision to spark a romance with her left him “mad” at the ex-footballer.
Kyriacou told The Sun: “I was good friends with him. I’m mad at him, my ex and her family. It won’t work out between those two.” Kyriacou, a fish and chip shop owner, admitted that he was a devoted Arsenal fan but struggled to support the club after Wilshere’s relationship with his ex.
He fumed: “It’s not nice supporting a team with someone who my ex is going out with in it. They’ve got no respect for me so I’ve got no respect for them.” The origin of Wilshere’s friendship with Kyriacou is said to have stemmed from his time as a regular at Andriani’s dad’s barber shop.

Wilshere proposed to Andriani in 2016 before marrying her the following year. They then welcomed a baby girl in 2018 and a son in 2020. Once heralded as the future of English football, Wilshere’s promising career was decimated by injury that saw him make just 197 appearances for the Gunners in 10 years.
After departing his boyhood club in 2018, the former England midfielder signed for West Ham but played just 19 times in two years before enjoying a second stint with Bournemouth – four years after going on loan to the Premier League club.

The final move of his career saw Wilshere enjoy a short stint with Danish side Aarhus Gymnastikforening before retiring in 2022. He subsequently ventured into coaching with Arsenal’s under-18 team and moved on to Norwich City where he was a first-team coach.
He earned his first head coaching job with League One club Luton Town in October 2025 and led the club to the EFL Trophy after beating Stockport County 3-1 in the final.
