Marcus Freeman: ‘Unicorn’ RB Jeremiyah Love could be an elite wide receiver

Love owns the ability to explode through the hole and blast past linebackers. The 6-foot running back is the ideal combination of power and speed, able to fly by tacklers with swift feet or bowl over defenders, falling forward for extra yards. His ability to deke without throttling down is elite. The RB also runs routes with WR precision and has excellent hands. He is the complete package.

Freeman pointed out that even with all the explosives and home-run plays, it’s the little things Love does that make him so special.

“Some of his most impressive runs aren’t the ones that you’re going to see on TV,” Freeman said. “It’s the ones that, as you’re watching film and go, ‘Oh my god, he made that play a 4-yard gain, it should have been a 2-yard loss,’ I mean, he’s just, he’s really special, and he’s a unique, unique talent.”

The question is whether a team drafting in the top five is willing to spend a premier selection on a running back, regardless of how dynamic that player is. We’ll find out next week.
