UFC’s Crowd Appears to Change Its Opinion of President Trump

The President of the United States attended the UFC event in Miami on Saturday evening. President Trump, 79, received quite the reaction.

However, it wasn’t what many expected it to be.

President Trump, walking in to watch Carlos Ulberg take the title from former champion Jiri Prochazka, received some boos from the crowd, according to those inside of the arena.

“The crowd that cheered him in 2025 booed him in 2026. The UFC love meter doesn’t lie,” insisted one viewer.

One fan wrote: “Lost support? Look at the footage. Every single person in that room is scrambling to get a photo. Everyone is practically tripping over themselves to get a picture. That doesn’t look like someone who lost support. You can try to spin the narrative all you want, but the energy on the ground tells a completely different story.”

However, when comparing the videos of President Trump’s entrances from 2025 to 2026, there’s a stark difference.

President Trump remains involved in the UFC

UFC president Dana White told reporters that President Trump expressed a specific interest in the fight cars for Saturday night.

“I’m sure you guys just saw the Hokit fight,” White said.

“About an hour ago, the president leans over to me ‌and says, ‘Why is Derrick Lewis not on the White House card?’ and I said, ‘Hold ‌on, Mr President’. I stepped away and called Derrick Lewis and said, ‘Derrick, [Mr Trump] just asked why you’re not on the card. Do you want to fight on the White House card?’ He said, ‘Of course’.”
