All three ‘Jeopardy!’ contestants on Monday’s episode are from Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – A Michigan native will look to continue his historic run on Jeopardy! on Monday night. His opponents? Fellow Michiganders.
Jamie Ding, a 2009 graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School, has won 21 straight games entering the new week, tied for the sixth-longest streak in the history of the longstanding game show.
As Ding looks to make it 22 straight wins on Monday’s episode, both contestants joining him on the Alex Trebek Stage also hail from the Mitten State — Erik Bubolz of Okemos and Catherine Hoffman of Clarkston.
You can watch the all-Michigan episode on WILX at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13.

Ding notched his 21st win on Friday’s episode and added $36,400, bringing his total winnings to $609,000. That puts him in sixth place on the all-time list for regular season winnings. He has quite a ways to go before cracking the top five in total winnings, as Chris Pannullo racked up just under $750,000 during his 21-game winning streak in 2022.
Now-host Ken Jennings holds the records for longest winning streak in Jeopardy! history at 74 games and highest regular season winnings at $2,520,700.
Ding is identified on the Jeopardy! website as a bureaucrat and law student who now lives in Lawrenceville, NJ. He enters Monday’s episode having answered 685 questions correctly and just 49 incorrectly during his 21-game winning streak, according to TheJeopardyFan.com.
