‘SNL U.K.’ Taps Nicola Coughlan and Aimee Lou Wood as Hosts for Next Two Episodes

“Saturday Night Live U.K.” has announced its next two hosts.
“Bridgerton’s” Nicola Coughlan and “White Lotus” star Aimee Lou Wood will take on hosting duties for Episodes 5 and 6. Coughlan will be joined on April 25 by Foo Fighters as the musical guest, while Wood will host on May 2 with a performance from British singer Meek.
The sketch show’s most recent episode was hosted by British comedian Jack Whitehall with R&B artist Jorja Smith as the musical guest. Previous hosts and musical guests include Riz Ahmed with Kasabian, Jamie Dornan with Wolf Alice and Tina Fey with Wet Leg.
After taking a weeklong break, “SNL U.K.” is set to return with four more weekly episodes starting April 25 for a season total of eight shows. Though ratings got off to a solid start with 226,000 viewers tuning into Sky in the 10 p.m. slot, by the Ahmed-hosted third episode viewership dropped to 130,950.
Alongside the weekly host, “SNL U.K.” stars Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
“SNL U.K.” is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s U.K. production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW. Lorne Michaels is executive producing, James Longman will serve as lead producer, Liz Clare as director and Daran Jonno Johnson takes as head writer.
Alongside airing live on Sky and streaming service NOW, “SNL U.K.” is available to watch the next day on Peacock in the U.S.
