CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) – An Earth Day Mass is set to take place at Attucks Park in Carbondale on Sunday, April 26.
Mass starts at 3 p.m. and will take place at the Will-Thorton Pavilion.
Father Bill Spencer will preside.
All are welcome to attend.
The Mass is organized by the Care for Creation group at St. Francis Xavier Church in Carbondale.
Organizers say the service is inspired by Laudoto Si’- the late Pope Francis’ encyclical on the care for our common home.
