Steelers Land Gargantuan O-Lineman in Latest Mock Draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers opt to strengthen their offensive line in the latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have kept their cards close to their chest in regard to their plans in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, Gennaro Filice of NFL.com seems to believe the Steelers will ultimately decide to further strengthen their offensive line.

In his latest mock draft, Filice has the Steelers selecting Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor with the No. 21 overall pick.

“From center through right tackle, Pittsburgh is in fine shape, but the left side of the offensive line has issues. LG Isaac Seumalo just departed in free agency, while LT Broderick Jones has yet to live up to his first-round pedigree, and he’s currently recovering from spinal fusion surgery. Opinions are mixed on whether the gargantuan Proctor projects better as a tackle or guard in the NFL. Pittsburgh has a place to put him, one way or another,” Filice wrote.

Proctor, who stands at a massive 6-foot-7, 366 pounds, was a consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC in 2025 and could help solve at least one of the Steelers question marks along their offensive line.

Since Seumalo signed with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency, the Steelers have only added former undrafted free agent Brock Hoffman to compete with former seventh-round pick Spencer Anderson for the job.

Meanwhile, Jones’ status is still very much up in the air after he suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 12 of last season.

However, NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein thinks Proctor’s unique build and potential versatility could make him a no-brainer pick if he’s still available when the Steelers are put on the clock.

“Proctor is a mass of humanity with rare size and length at his command. He’s capable as a move blocker but shines when rolling downhill as a bona-fide people mover with bulldozing power,” Zierlein wrote.
