Paris Fury has always been as real as it gets – and this time she’s not holding back when it comes to critics of her daughter Venezuela.
The Fury family are back with another series of their fly-on-the-wall reality show At Home with the Furys, showcasing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s attempts to give retirement another shot while juggling a pretty hectic family life alongside wife Paris and their seven children.
But the main event of the show is the engagement of the eldest Fury child, Venezuela, who, at 16, is set to tie the knot with Noah Price, an aspiring young boxer who is introduced on the show as he asks Tyson for her hand in marriage.
When Metro sat down to speak to Paris, 36, and her daughter, the Fury (pun intended) came out as they hit back at critics who say she’s too young to be walking down the aisle.
Within the traveller community marrying young can be seen as an important tradition, with Paris comparing Venezuela’s upcoming nuptials to her relationship with Tyson.

‘Venezuela was 16 when she got engaged, I was 17 when I got engaged. Me and Tyson have been together for 20 years, and we couldn’t be any happier. Our life is great, so all I can do is hope it’s the same for her,’ Paris said.

‘As for people’s opinions, there’s always going to be an opinion. I don’t understand it. I don’t get it.’
Paris tells us that her daughter has been receiving numerous comments on social media from naysayers telling her she needs to ‘just live her life’ instead of marrying young.
A heated Paris hits back: ‘I’m sorry, but I didn’t realise she was going to end the life? I don’t get it. She’s getting married, they have plans to travel the world, do different things together, he’s doing boxing, Venezuela is doing her social media work…
‘We don’t see the problem. If she’s happy, he’s happy, we’re happy, I don’t understand it at all. I don’t get the quotes and the things they say to me, all I can think is these people mustn’t have had very happy relationships.’
Venezuela added: ‘They’re trying to put negativity around it, but there really isn’t any there. I don’t see the problem.’
TV star Paris added that she’s given plenty of tips and advice to her daughter as she prepares to become a wife, even warning her that things could get tough at times.

‘I got married at 18, we’re blissfully happy. Yes, we’ve had our ups and downs, but all relationships have ups and downs. Venezuela knows that, I’ve told her nothing is really smooth sailing but I don’t understand the backlash, I don’t get it.
‘These cynical people that keep pushing down on a 16 year old’s life…,’ Paris added while shaking her head. ‘I don’t understand it at all.’
In series two of the show, Venezuela steps up to help around the house and assist her mum with day-to-day life at their Morecambe mansion with the other Fury children; Prince John James Fury, 13, Prince Tyson II Fury, eight, Valencia Amber Fury, six, Prince Adonis Amaziah Fury, five, Athena Amour Fury, four, and Prince Rico Paris Fury, two.
‘Venezuela has always been a really good girl, she’s always been a good help. When you come from a big family you have to muck in and play your part and she’s been really good with that,’ the matriarch of the family explained.
As well as her daughter’s engagement, the series dives into several candid moments in Paris and Tyson’s relationship, from their South of France wedding vow renewal (their third time tying the knot), to some fiery arguments about his return to the ring and fame.
In one lively discussion, Tyson, 37, tells Paris she’s ‘only famous for being his wife’.

At Home with the Furys – Season 2 verdict
Although the concept of Paris and Tyson’s reality show is a tried and tested formula, this series stands for a few reasons.
The couple really aren’t afraid to say or do things that would probably be edited out of a reality show by the likes of the Kardashians or the Ramsays.
Even in the first episode of the new 10-part series, you’re left thinking ‘wow these children are out of control’, but of course this must be exactly what it’s like to have seven screaming kids between the ages of 16 and two running around.
At Home with the Furys is what reality TV should be; genuine, authentic, showing warts and all.
From Tyson, despite his £195,000,000 fortune, having the time of his life pushing a trolley down the aisles of Asda, to multiple middle fingers from the youngest members of the clan, it’s refreshing to see all of the fame but with the polish stripped off.
Discussing the moment, Paris told us: ‘I do agree with him. I never set out to be famous in this world and I wouldn’t be in the limelight if it wasn’t for Tyson boxing.
‘I was in the background and slowly but surely people wanted to see more of me. I have a great fan base who really connect with me through being a mother, a businesswoman, and a busy person. And clearly, not to blow my own trumpet, people like me and that’s wonderful. But that wouldn’t have worked if I had the personality of a nit.
‘So yes, I stand on my own two feet in that I’ve built my own fanbase and people follow me, but it is a true statement that I wouldn’t have been famous if Tyson wasn’t the boxer he is.’
