Ronda Rousey Rips Kayla Harrison on Video, Tells UFC Star to ‘S–t the F–k Up’ Before Carano Fight

Ronda Rousey called out UFC women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison ahead of her MMA fight with Gina Carano.
Rousey told Harrison to “shut the f–k up” during her press conference on Wednesday (1:10 mark).
Harrison previously took shots at the clash between Rousey and Carano after it was first announced on Feb. 17.
“I don’t think we should talk about this because I don’t think I have anything nice to say,” Harrison said during a March 30 appearance on the Death Row MMA podcast (h/t Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie).
“She said this is the best female fight of all time,” she added. “… How old is Gina, though? She hasn’t fought in 17 years. Like, shut up.”
The upcoming fight will be the first for Carano since 2009 and the first for Rousey since 2016.
Rousey also joked about what she missed most as she prepares to make her MMA return.
“I didn’t realize [how much I missed this] until I was on stage telling people to go f–k themselves,” Rousey said Wednesday. “I was like, ‘Man, I missed doing this.'”
Rousey, who initially retired after consecutive losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes, explained why she chose to come back.
“I think I needed everybody to give up on me fighting again for me to know I was coming back to fight just for me,” Rousey told reporters. “I think that fighting became about everybody else and that’s what started to steal my joy from it. In my last two fights, I just didn’t want to be there. Gina is the one person that ignited that fire in me again to want to be there. Now I know it’s just for me because everybody gave up on it.”
In 2022, Rousey revealed that Carano was the only fighter that she’d consider ending her retirement to face.
Now, they’re set to clash at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California on May 16.
