First Alert Weather Live Blog: Strong to severe storms Wednesday evening

QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill (KWQC) – The First Alert Weather Team is tracking strong to severe storms with threats of damaging wind and hail, possible spin-up tornadoes Wednesday evening.
Storms are expected to be widespread and hit between 4 and 9 p.m.
The entire TV6 viewing area is under a Level 2 risk, with all types of severe weather possible.
LIVE UPDATES:
- 8:44 p.m. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located of Marston, or 8 miles north of Aledo, Ill., moving east at 25 mph.
- 8:33 p.m. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located by radar over Blue Grass, or 8 miles west of Davenport, moving east at 35 mph
- 8:32 p.m. A Tornado WARNING has been issued for Rock Island County in Illinois, Scott and Muscatine Counties in Iowa until 9 p.m.
- 8:28 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm WARNING remains in effect for southwestern Rock Island and northern Mercer Counties in Illinois and central Louisa, southeastern Cedar, southwestern Scott and eastern Muscatine Counties in Iowa until 8:45 p.m.
- 8:26 p.m. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Eliza, Illinois moving east at 25 mph.
- 8:25 p.m. A Tornado WARNING has been issued for southwestern Rock Island and northwestern Mercer County in Illinois until 9:15 p.m.
- 8:21 p.m. The Severe Thunderstorm WARNING for Louisa County has expired. a Tornado WATCH remains in effect until 9 p.m.
- 8:17 p.m. Route 84 north of Savanna, Ill. near the Mississippi Palisades State Park is not passable, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Storms have caused trees and other debris to block the road way. Crews are responding to the area.
- 8:12 p.m. A Tornado WARNING has been issued for Lee County in Iowa and Hancock County in Illinois until 9 p.m.
- 8:05 p.m. A CONFIRMED TORNADO has been spotted over Letts, Iowa, or 8 miles northeast of Columbus Junction moving east at 35 mph
- 8:03 p.m. A Tornado WARNING has been issued for Rock Island and Mercer Counties in Illinois, and Louisa and Muscatine Counties in Iowa until 8:30 p.m.
- 7:59 p.m. A tornado was reported on the ground by a storm spotter near Letts, Iowa moving towards Muscatine.
- 7:51 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm WARNING has been issued for Rock Island and Mercer Counties in Illinois and Louisa, Cedar, Scott, and Muscatine Counties in Iowa until 8:45 p.m.
- 7:08 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm WARNING has been issued for parts of Louisa County in Iowa until 8:15 p.m.
- 7 p.m. A Flash Flood WARNING has been issued for Dubuque County in Iowa and northwester Jo Daviess County in Illinois until 1 a.m. Thursday
- 6:45 p.m. The Tornado WARNING in Jo Daviess County has expired.
- 6:35 p.m. The National Weather Service said a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 2 miles south of Winslow moving northeast at 25 mph.
- 6:05 p.m. A Tornado WARNING has been issued for Northeastern Jo Daviess County in Illinois until 6:45 p.m.
- 3:35 p.m. A Tornado WATCH has been issued for the following counties until 9 p.m.: Dubuque, Jackson, Lee, Muscatine, Clinton, Henry, Scott, Cedar, Des Moines, and Louisa in Iowa; Rock island and Jo Daviess in Illinois
- 12:38 p.m. A Flood WATCH has been issued for Jackson and Dubuque Counties in Iowa, and Jo Daviess and Carroll Counties in Illinois until midnight
