Pop star Meghan Trainor cancels upcoming tour, including PPG Paints Arena stop

She may be “All About That Bass,” but pop star Meghan Trainor isn’t all about her summer tour anymore.

She announced Thursday that her national “Get In Girl Tour,” set to open in June, has been canceled. That means no July 11 concert at PPG Paints Arena.

“After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,” she said in a post to her Instagram stories. “Balancing the new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time.”

She also expressed regret for disappointing her fans, saying that she is “so sorry to let you down.”

“I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always,” she continued in the post.

Trainor’s newest album, “Toy With Me,” will be released April 24. The singer is best known for retro-tinged pop hits including “Made You Look,” “Lips Are Movin” and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You,” a duet with John Legend.

According to Ticketmaster, those fans who have already purchased tickets for the concert should automatically receive refunds to the original payment method within 14 to 21 days.
