Four arrested, one wanted in Gaffney McDonald’s shooting, police say

GAFFNEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Gaffney Police Department reported that a fourth arrest has been made and another suspect remains at large in a shooting that took place at a McDonald’s in December.

Police said that on April 8, the Prince William County Police Department in Virginia was investigating a stolen vehicle. The person inside the vehicle was identified as David Elijah Allen Jr., who was wanted in connection with the December shooting that left multiple people injured.

Police said that David Elijah Allen Jr. is charged with the following:

  • Attempted murder
  • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
  • Breach of peace, aggravated in nature
  • Assault and Battery of a High and aggravated nature
  • Discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle
  • (2 counts) Third-degree assault and battery

According to police, Allen waived his extradition hearing on April 9. On Thursday, officers with the Gaffney Police Department completed his transfer, and Allen was taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center, where he currently awaits his bond hearing.

At this time, police are still searching for Elijah Eugene Fonnah, who is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
