Green Bay Packers News: What would it take to nail the Draft?

What would it take for the Packers to crush it in the draft this year?
I think often it can be tempting to fixate on what might go wrong or how things could break against the Packers, but it’s equally valid, and maybe just as important, to think about scenarios where everything goes right. How do you make your decision when you have to make a call between two good players at two positions you really need?
That’s the best case scenario, and I hope it’s one the Packers face many times next weekend. Because it’s tough to make a call when you’ve got two good players to choose between, but that’s a much better situation than having nobody on the board you like and nobody returning your calls as you try to trade down.
To answer my own question, I think nailing this draft comes down to getting a cornerback capable of starting at some point this season (not necessarily right away) and a big-bodied defensive lineman who can add rotational depth while building toward a future starting role. Get those two things and sprinkle in some interesting prospects on the offensive line and at wide receiver and running back and I think you’ll have a stew going.
I think we all know things aren’t going to go according to plan. There will be areas the Packers have to fudge their board a little bit, stretch for some value, and maybe even pick some guys they privately admit will probably wash out while publicly saying they hit every player they wanted. But that’s why we watch, right?
What would it take for every team in the NFL to really nail their draft?
Using the Packers’ pre-draft visits as a guide, what would a mock draft look like?
If the Packers want a real upgrade at cornerback, chances are they’re going to have to start shopping early.
You know we’re at the bottom of the barrel when the official Packers takes are talking about kickers.
Whatever Jaire gets up to in the future, I hope he finds what he seems to be looking for.
I wonder if ending up as an ant smuggler was always the plan, or if he just fell into this line of work.
