Here’s how Cross Keys and Newbridge could fare in the Premiership this weekend

All games, including the rest of the league’s fixtures, will kick off at 2.30pm on Saturday, April 18.

Bargoed, who sit comfortably in fifth place, will travel to face already relegated Brecon.

Despite Brecon’s position, they have shown resilience at home, winning all four of their league victories this season on their turf.

A win for Bargoed would not see them climb the table due to the 19-point gap with Neath, but it would further secure their position away from the relegation battle.

Cross Keys are in the midst of this relegation struggle.

They are currently ninth, with only six points separating Narberth, who are in the second relegation spot, and Llangennech in sixth place.

Keys have 40 points after securing a try bonus point in last week’s defeat to Cardiff Met.

They will be looking to add to Merthyr’s woes after their cup final defeat to Neath last weekend.

However, this is a formidable task as Merthyr currently sit second in the table, having lost only one of their 19 league games this season, compared to Keys’ 13 losses from 20 games.

This will be their first league meeting this season, with the return fixture scheduled as the season’s final game.

Newbridge, currently one point and one place below Cross Keys, will be aiming for a home win against sixth-placed Llangennech.

They will also be seeking revenge for their 25-18 loss earlier in the season.

Both Keys and Newbridge will be hoping for favourable results in other games, particularly wishing for a Neath win away at Cardiff Met, and a victory for league leaders Beddau in Narberth, to boost their survival chances.
