A flat has been shut down by police over repeated anti-social behaviour.
The property in Nichols Way, Exeter, was issued with a full closure order yesterday (Friday April 16) after a partial order was breached several times over the last few months.
In a post on its Exeter Police Facebook page, Devon and Cornwall Police said the order was granted by Exeter Magistrates Court and was served on the property making it an offence for any person to enter the address over the next three months.
On January 20 a partial closure order was granted on the property after receiving repeated reports of noise disturbances and suspected drug use at the address.
In their post, the police said: “We also received reports that there were lots of people visiting the property at all hours of the day, which caused residents to feel worried and intimidated.
“This order had been breached numerous times and this information supplied by residents and police incidents were detailed at Exeter Magistrates.”
They added: “We hope that this closure order will restore peace and provide reassurance to people living and visiting Nichols Way, Exeter.”
