Ciara Miller has finally spoken. It’s been a little more than two weeks since her Summer House co-stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their romantic relationship, leaving everyone in the Bravoverse saying, “Wait, but Amanda is Ciara’s best friend and West is Ciara’s ex-boyfriend … Why would they do that?” Batula and Wilson announced their romance in a joint Instagram Story post, and now it’s Miller’s turn to talk. In an interview with Glamour, she said the whole situation has been a “major mindfuck.”
Miller told the magazine that, between Batula and Wilson, she had been closer to Batula, but that she and Wilson were working on mending their relationship. “I felt like we were trying to move in a more positive direction since we hadn’t spoken to each other in two years. I felt like we were actually starting to be friends again,” Miller said, adding that they had had a conversation about the boundaries they needed to make their friendship work. “One of those boundaries was no more sleeping with people on Bravo,” Miller said. “Obviously, now that’s out the window.”
While Miller was not too surprised by Wilson — “whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man” — it was Batula’s betrayal that she says really stung. “I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part,” Miller said, adding that it was especially painful to be “disregarded in such a disrespectful way” after fighting with Batula’s ex-husband, Kyle Cooke, on her behalf. She also noted that she received less than 24 hours of notice that Wilson and Batula would be confirming their relationship and that she read their statement at the same time everyone else did.
Next up for Miller is the Summer House reunion, which she says is, even under the most normal circumstances, “mental warfare.” She said she’s already planning her outfit but is reticent to call it a “revenge look.” Instead, it’s going to be “a proper representation of who I am right now.”
After that? Who knows. Miller said she’s cool with being single right now, telling the magazine, “Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone being in my apartment.” As for the rumors that she could be the next Bachelorette? Don’t get your hopes up. “Fuck no,” Miller said. “I’m way too private.” At least one Summer House star understands personal boundaries.
