Andrew Novak had the perfect response to taking this stray over an unfortunate PGA Tour stat

Harbour Town Golf Links’ 18th hole is best-known for that lighthouse, but it also holds an unofficial distinction as possibly the widest fairway on the PGA Tour.
Some have measured the preferred landing area with as much width as 88 yards. So these guys have nearly a full football field to aim at. And as we know, these guys are good and don’t need nearly that much room to find a fairway.
So it should be no surprise that nearly everyone in the field at the RBC Heritage on Thursday hit this fairway. In fact, just one player, Andrew Novak, missed it. Which was pointed out by Skratch.
Also pointed out by Skratch, however, is that Novak didn’t hit a bad shot. His tee shot just ran a bit long and into the rough. But, technically, he was the lone outlier. And the 31-year-old PGA Tour winner had the perfect response:
It’s OK, Andrew. We’re (almost) certain you’ll hit it on Friday. And nicely done with that “Fresh Prince” reference. That’s a classic scene from a classic show.
Anyway, Novak still made par on 18 despite missing the short grass off the tee and he posted an opening 65. So, he’s doing OK.
