Oba Femi puts Roman Reigns on notice after WrestleMania 42 (UPDATED)

Night two of WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada opened with Oba Femi scoring a dominant victory over Brock Lesnar. It was a clear star making victory, both in intent and delivery. The top prospect on the main roster won’t be called that much longer.

Night two of WrestleMania 42 ended with Roman Reigns winning the world heavyweight championship from CM Punk in an epic back-and-forth battle, firmly putting the Tribal Chief back at the forefront of WWE as the very best in the business.

How much longer will it be before the two meet?

For his part, even before the event, Reigns named Femi as a guy he could be squaring up with in the future during an interview on First Take. “No doubt,” he said.

“I think tomorrow is a celebration. I think in the coming weeks is the establishment of a new main event player. And I think at the end of the year, the OTC can get some.”

For my money, Oba is already a main event player, especially with the way he may have sent Lesnar into retirement. But I like that he’s not saying he wants to rush into it, and WWE isn’t in a position of needing to do so. Let this thing build up over the next few months and see where we are come SummerSlam, or even Survivor Series.

Hell, this could be a main event at this time next year…

UPDATE: The Tribal Chief responds.
