Matt LeBlanc mourns Matthew Perry with ‘heavy’ tribute 2 weeks after his death: ‘You’re finally free’
Matt LeBlanc has finally spoken out following the death of “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry.

There is a Detroit connection to a possible CBS cop show called “Flint” that’s set in Los Angeles.
The series, which the network is developing, would feature “Friends” star Matt LeBlanc as its lead actor and executive producer.
“Flint” was unveiled in Los Angeles this week at a CBS press event regarding the network’s 2026-2027 season. If the crime drama gets picked up by the network, it could debut in the 2027-2028 season.
“Flint” — the working title — is described as being about a Los Angeles police detective who is burned out, ready to retire and, after his contract is extended five more years, purposely trying to get fired. But when he starts ignoring orders and rebelling against the rules, it actually makes him a better law enforcer.
LeBlanc is famous for playing Joey Tribbiani on 1994-2004’s global hit “Friends,” which lives on in reruns. He has starred in several comedic series since then, including the 2016-2020 family sitcom “Man with a Plan” on CBS.
Evan Katz, a writer and producer of the Fox series “24,” is the creative chief of “Flint.” CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television are producing the project.
Bruckheimer, a Hollywood producing icon of the “Beverly Hills Cop,” “Top Gun” and “Bad Boys” movies and the “CSI” TV franchise, is a Detroit native.
Although Bruckheimer grew up about an hour from Flint, Michigan, there is no indication so far that either the L.A.-based “Flint” story line or LeBlanc’s LAPD character has any connection to Michigan.
Still, if someone wants to create a show called “Los Angeles” about a Flint cop, that would be pretty cool.
