Former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman has tied the knot with actress Celinde Schoenmaker – four years after they got engaged.

Richard played young goth Craig Harris in the ITV soap and left 20 years ago to pursue a pop career. He’s now tied the knot with actress Celinde at a private family ceremony in Cumbria.

Celinde shared a professional video of their special day and told followers on Instagram that it was “unforgettable”. She wrote: “Last weekend we went up to our favorite place in the world @thecountryhousediaries and surrounded by just our families we got married.

“It was incredibly special to have three generations under one roof for the first time in 11 years. To our dear friends Ben and Paul who made it possible, we love you and are so deeply grateful for you both.

She added: “To our families thank you for everything and for making it so unforgettable. To our friends…we don’t know when yet but there’s a big ol party in the works at some point so stay tuned x.”

Richard’s Corrie pals flooded the post with congratulations. Claire Sweeney said: “Love this. Congratulations xx”

Catherine Tyldesley wrote: “Oh loves!!! This is just heavenly! Huge congratulations.” Richard and Celinde first started dating in 2018 and welcomed their first child in 2024.

Since leaving Corrie in 2006, Richard has starred in the West End in productions such as Ghost and Legally Blonde. He also won the talent show Soapstar Superstar in 2006, where he bagged £200,000 for his chosen charity.

In 2018, he pretty much ruled out returning to the soap. He told Manchester Evening News: “”I left Corrie when I was 16 years old. I was in it for less than a quarter of my career, it’s a very small amount of time, but because it’s such a huge monster of a show it’s always there, people still think of me and Coronation Street, and it’s not a bad thing.

“I wouldn’t go back and do a number of other jobs I’ve already done because I’ve already done them.”

Celinde appeared in the 2019 Elton John biopic, Rocketman, and has also acted in musicals such as Guys and Dolls, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.
