‘The Facts of Life’ Star Mindy Cohn Reveals Cancer Diagnosis

“The Facts of Life” star Mindy Cohn has revealed she has cancer in an Instagram post she shared on April 19.
“have been off social media for awhile ‘cuz i had to go kick cancer’s ass,” she captioned a picture of her in a hospital bed.
Cohn, 59, called out the “extraordinary” nurses and her oncology surgeon at Providence Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California.
She also thanked her family “who have been my advocates and always on the ready to help me when it’s ‘my turn,’” she wrote.
“recouping for another couple of weeks and then ready for my next adventure. onwards! F**K Cancer!”
Cohn, who didn’t specify what kind of cancer she has, starred as bubbly Natalie Green on “The Facts of Life,” which aired on NBC for nine seasons from 1979 until 1988. In recent years, she has appeared on the Emmy-winning Prime Video comedy series ”Palm Royale.”
Cohn’s message about her cancer incited an outpouring of support from all corners of Hollywood.
Rosie O’Donnell wrote, “U got this girl.”
“Love you, Mindy! Here whenevs you need us!” commented Jerry O’Connell.
“Sending Love your way,” wrote Helen Hunt.
“Love you, Mindy. Damn it… F**K CANCER,” wrote Vicki Lawrence.
Octavia Spencer left a string of red hearts.
“Sending u all the love and strength for a speedy recovery my fellow warrior,” wrote former “Baywatch” and “Charles in Charge” star Nicole Eggert, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
“Love you Mindy,” wrote Lucy Hale.
“Sending you love and good vibes!” commented Andy Cohen.
“Mindy!!!! Sending love and healing energy!!!” wrote Holly Robinson Peete.
“Mindy, Sending you love and healing prayers!” wrote Geena Davis.
In 2017, Cohn revealed she had had been diagnosed in 2012 with breast cancer, and underwent chemotherapy, radiation, a double mastectomy and more before being cancer-free.
“I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would,” she told People. “And then I’d wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn’t control any of this. I couldn’t fix it.”
