Skin Cancer Foundation hosts free skin cancer screenings in Pittsford

Pittsford, N.Y. — A life-saving initiative made its way to Pittsford.
The Skin Cancer Foundation hosted its free skin cancer screening program on Sunday.
The foundations’ customized private exam room travels across the country, offering free full-body cancer screenings.

The organization says the initiative saves lives through early detection and prevention while educating the public about detection and sun protection.
“I think primarily a resource like this is important for people that really don’t have access to a dermatologist,” said Dr. Nana Duffy of the Schweiger Dermatology Group.
The Skin Cancer Foundation is also offering free skin cancer screenings in Rochester.
The screenings will be available from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Monday at the Norton Village Park.
Screenings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
