Paul Heyman sure makes it sound like Brock Lesnar is retired

When Brock Lesnar left his gloves and boots in the ring following his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, WWE was very careful with the language they were using around it. Commentary was simply asking “what’s next” before graduating to saying it seemed as though he was saying goodbye.
Then, on Monday Night Raw this week, they aired this video package looking back at his career:
They broke out Godsmack, folks, this is clearly serious stuff.
Finally, Paul Heyman appears to have put a stamp on the reality of the situation:
“So let me bestow upon you my wisdom: please take him out of the now and put him in the forever. Because he is not the now and he will forever be the baddest — that has ever been in a WWE ring. And that beast’s name is Brock Lesnar.”
There is, of course, still a chance that this isn’t the end. Heyman did say he owes GUNTHER that favor and he’s ready to pay it back whenever. Who knows if the two are related or not, but fans are certainly going to speculate.
For now, though, it looks like we can truly say goodbye to Brock Lesnar in WWE.
