Popular sportscaster says Super Bowl coming to Nashville in 2030. Here’s what the mayor’s office says

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – With the Nashville Predators missing the playoffs and Nashville not having a major league baseball team, all professional sports eyes are on the Tennessee Titans and the upcoming NFL Draft… and a rumor about being one of the next few cities to get a Super Bowl.
Popular sportscaster Dan Patrick reports that a source confirmed to him that Nissan Stadium in Nashville will be hosting the 2030 Super Bowl.
Here’s a look at what Patrick said on his show Monday:
The 2030 Super Bowl. I was informed by a source on Saturday that it is signed and ready to go in his opinion that Nashville is getting the 2030 Super Bowl. I haven’t seen any reports on this. And if there is a report on it, I’ll acknowledge that. But this is what I was told on Saturday. Nashville is getting the 2030 Super Bowl. Vegas is getting the 2029 Super Bowl.
Los Angeles. And then it’s Atlanta 2028. But this is what I was told over the weekend. Nashville will get the 2030 Super Bowl. They got a new stadium coming in. That always helps.

In order to figure out if this rumor is true, WSMV4 reached out to Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s office:
We joined a large coalition with a letter of support for the idea of hosting a Super Bowl in Nashville. We have not been advised by the league of Nashville’s selection or any potential dates.
So, for now, speculation remains on whether Music City will be hosting the greatest show in sports in 2030.
However, signs do point to Nashville hosting a Super Bowl in the near future, straight from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s mouth:
Listen, it’s an important franchise and a wonderful franchise for the NFL. From the moment you had the draft and what you did to change the trajectory of the draft, you actually took the draft and made it yours, but you did it in a way that made it incredibly impactful to the future of the NFL and the Titans. And I think all of us at that moment had that wake-up moment that this is a Super Bowl-ready city.
It’s been no secret that since hosting the NFL Draft in 2019 and with the plans to build the new Nissan Stadium, local leaders have pushed to host big sporting events, like a Super Bowl, College Football Playoff game and more.
The Tennessee Titans are set to break in the new stadium in 2027.
