‘Schmigadoon!’ Review: A Loving Lampoon of Broadway Musicals

New York

After its heyday in the middle decades of the 20th century, the Broadway musical became something of a niche art form, still beloved by many but likely to raise snickers among others for its essential form, in which seemingly normal human beings spontaneously break into song and dance.
