To mark the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s birth, the British royal family had a packed day of engagements. In the morning, King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh all visited the British Museum to view the final design for the national memorial to the late Queen, while Princess Anne opened a new Queen Elizabeth memorial garden in Regent’s Park.

The royals then all gathered in the Marble Hall of Buckingham Palace for a reception, where they welcomed representatives from a selection of Queen Elizabeth’s many patronages, including Cancer Research UK, British Red Cross Society, Jockey Club, Royal Kennel Club and the Army Benevolent Fund. They were also joined by centenarians who are celebrating their 100th birthdays today.
