It’s been a tense series of I’m A Celebrity: South Africa so far, with cast feuds and rule breaks resulting in a bunch of unhappy campers. However, the drama is set to reach new heights in tonight’s episode, with Adam Thomas lashing out at Jimmy Bullard during an unexpected row.

The surprise incident was teased at the end of last night’s episode on Monday (20 April), with a clip showing Bullard and Thomas being paired up in an upcoming Bushtucker Trial. As Ant McPartlin comments to Dec that Bullard “isn’t really moving” during the challenge, we then see Thomas angrily shout: “Are you taking the p***?

“You’re taking the p***. I’m in there getting covered in f***ing ants,” he tells him, with Bullard responding: “Woah, woah, woah, calm down. That’s pathetic.”

While the full clash will air in Tuesday’s episode, it has been reported that Bullard and Thomas are not on speaking terms nearly eight months after the series was filmed.

According to The Sun, Bullard is threatening not to attend the show’s final, which will be filmed live on Friday in London. The Independent has reached out to ITV and Bullard for comment.

The spin-off show proved to be a tough experience for former Emmerdale actor Thomas, who also struggled with campmate David Haye while in the jungle.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Thomas admitted that Haye “broke” him while filming the show. It came after Haye turned on Thomas for asking not to do a Bushtucker Trial as he was feeling unwell.

“Who gives a s*** if he doesn’t feel well,” Haye said. “He’s a grown-ass man. I don’t like guys who are a bit useless. I hate them useless guys.”

Writing on Instagram, Thomas said: “He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I’ve told David this and he’s apologised and that’s that! I’ve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge.”

Monday night’s episode saw Haye and Gemma Collins leave the jungle, with the ex-boxer addressing the tension with Thomas in his exit interview.

He said that there was “no bad blood” on his side. “Look, I’ve been immersed in tough boxing gyms since I was 10 years old. Literally fighting daily, much bigger men than myself, pushing myself to the limits, physically and mentally,” he said.

“So when a grown man tells me that a fun TV show – where we’re being paid handsomely every single day – is the hardest thing he’s ever been through, it’s just not a frequency I recognise.

“I was actually on my best behaviour in there, honestly. I’ve spoken to Adam, I’ve said my piece, and some of what’s still to air will speak for itself. I’ll leave it there.”
