Duke basketball’s Isaiah Evans announces future plans with the Blue Devils

Isaiah Evans has declared for the 2026 NBA Draft after two seasons with Duke basketball.
The 2026 All-ACC Third Team selection announced his decision on Wednesday, April 22. He is a projected first-round pick.
During his second season with the Blue Devils, Evans started in all 38 of Duke’s contests where he averaged 15 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He shot 43.3% from the field and 36.1% from deep. He was also the team’s best free throw shooter, converting 86% of his attempts, good for fifth-best in the ACC.
Evans set a new career-high 32 points in the 2026 ACC Tournament quarterfinal win against Florida State on March 12, adding a career-high 10 rebounds in the semifinal win vs. Clemson a day later. He matched that rebound total in Duke’s 2026 NCAA Tournament opener against Siena.
A Fayetteville, North Carolina, native, Evans played high school basketball at North Mecklenburg in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The 6-foot-6, 180-pound wing had initially entered his name in the 2025 NBA Draft, before withdrawing mid-May to return for his sophomore season with Duke basketball.
The first round of the 2026 NBA Draft is set for June 23, 2026.
