Cannes 2026 Adds 16 Films, Including Paper Tiger & Victorian Psycho

The Cannes Film Festival official selections are still rolling in.
On the heels of Wednesday’s news that James Gray’s “Paper Tiger” has landed a competition spot (and a Neon release), the festival has not only confirmed that title, but also added a number of other films in many of its sections, including the gothic horror movie “Victorian Psycho,” plus three more films to the Un Certain Regard lineup. Laetitia Masson’s “Ulysse” will close the section.
These films join a number of already-announced titles in the competition, Un Certain Regard, and Midnight sections, plus other out of competition offerings. The festival will open on May 12 with Pierre Salvadori’s French-language “The Electric Kiss,” as per festival tradition to launch with a local title. Receiving honorary Palme d’Ors this year will be filmmaker Peter Jackson and actor/filmmaker Barbra Streisand.
The Cannes competition jury will be headed by Park Chan-wook. French actress Leïla Bekhti, meanwhile, leads the Un Certain Regard jury.
