2026 NFL Draft: Best available players for the Broncos going into Day 2

The 1st round of the 2026 NFL Draft is complete, and we saw 32 players selected on Thursday Night. Now, all eyes are set on Day 2 of the draft, which consists of the 2nd and 3rd rounds, and we have several talented prospects still available for the Broncos and the rest of the NFL.

Currently, the Broncos have the 62nd overall selection, so many of these top remaining prospects will be off the board when they select. However, players can slide for whatever reason, and the Broncos could always trade up to make sure they get their top target.

So, with all that said, here are the best remaining players available as we head into Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Best fits for the Broncos

A lot of the names that have been connected to the Broncos throughout the draft process remain. We did see DT Caleb Banks and RB Jadarian Price go in the first round, but both were long shots at best to make it to the Broncos’ 62nd overall selection.

RB – Mike Washington Jr., Emmett Johnson, Jonah Coleman, and Kaytron Allen

The Broncos are expected to go running back at some point in this draft, and could take one as early as the second round. With Price off the board, I see them addressing the position later, maybe trading back into the 3rd round or later on day 3, but it’s a position to watch on day 2 for the Broncos.

TE – Eli Stowers, Max Klare, Oscar Delp, Justin Joly, and Sam Roush

Tight end is another position the Broncos are expected to target early, and they will potentially have several prospects available for them when they’re on the clock.

Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers has been connected to them throughout the process, but they may need to trade up for him if they want to draft him. Another name to watch at 62 is Ohio State’s Max Klare. He’s a talented receiving threat who makes a lot of sense for the Broncos. In the third round, Oscar Delp, Justin Joly, and Sam Roush could be trade-up candidates for the Broncos. They do not have a 3rd rounder, but do have two early 4th rounders and could package them in a trade to move up for a player in the 3rd round.

LB – Jacob Rodriguez, CJ Allen, Jake Golday, Anthony Hill Jr., Josiah Trotter, Kyle Louis, and Keyshaun Elliott

This is a loaded group that will likely see a number of these players have their names called early on Day 2.

Jacob Rodriguez is a name many Broncos fans want, but I would be surprised if he lasts long. If he slips into the 40-45 range, could the Broncos trade up? Same goes for CJ Allen who many viewed as a first-round talent. Both are plug-and-play right away linebackers who would instantly make the Broncos defense better.

Jake Golday is a name to watch. He fits the type of linebacker Vance Joseph likes and has similar traits to Drew Sanders, but with Jonah Elliss filling that pressure player role, the Broncos may go in another direction. Anthony Hill Jr. is another fan favorite who makes sense for the Broncos. I would keep an eye on Josiah Trotter, who has been connected to the Broncos a lot recently.

OL – Chase Bisontis, Emmanuel Pregnon, Gennings Dunker, Jalen Farmer, Caleb Tiernan, Travis Burke, and Markel Bell

We saw 9 offensive linemen go in the first round, and we’ll likely see a few more go early on day 2. I would anticipate Bisontis, Pregnon, and even Dunker to go pretty quickly, while Farmer, Tiernan, Burke, and Bell are all 3rd round options.

Offensive line isn’t a major immediate need for the Broncos, but if one of these prospects falls to them at 62, they could pull the trigger, especially if it’s one of the top guards. As for the tackles, they are a potential trade-up into the 3rd round option if they want to move up for them.

IDL – Kayden McDonald, Christen Miller, Lee Hunter, Domonique Orange, Tyler Onyedim, and Chris McClellan

The Broncos did some work on the defensive linemen during the pre-draft process and a number of the top run-stoppers are still available. Most of these prospects profile as nose tackles, so if the Broncos are looking to improve their run defense, they could have some options.

Christen Miller is a player they had a top-30 visit with, so we’ll see if they have interest in him. If so, they may need to trade up to select him.

Wildcards – Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Denzel Boston, Zion Young, Cashius Howell, R Mason Thomas, Chris Bell, Gabe Jacas, Keionte Scott, Keyron Crawford, Dani Dennis-Sutton, AJ Haulcy, Ted Hurst, Derrick Moore, Jalon Kilgore, Jaishawn Barham

Sometimes, teams and the Broncos surprise their fans and take a player and position that nobody expected. We saw that last year when the Broncos took CB Jahdae Barron in the first round despite nobody having a corner on their radar. So, I listed a few wildcards who could make sense for the Broncos.

Safety is a low-key need for the Broncos, and if Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, AJ Haulcy, Jalon Kilgore, or others are available, the Broncos could pounce. Brandon Jones is a free agent next season, and they have not replaced PJ Locke.

Edge rusher is a premium position, and you can never have enough edge rushers. Jonah Elliss is getting more snaps at linebacker, so the Broncos could take another pass rusher if one they like falls to them.

I added a few wide receivers because it’s still a low-key need. Courtland Sutton is 31 years old and has a large cap hit next season, and Marvin Mims Jr. is a pending free agent. If a high-upside receiver like Chris Bell or Ted Hurst is there, the Broncos could pounce. Denzel Boston also profiles as a Courtland Sutton replacement, but he will likely be selected early on day 2. Is it likely? No, but I wouldn’t rule it out completely.
