Gatineau police say someone was fatally injured at a business east of the city’s downtown late Thursday night.
Police told Radio-Canada they were investigating gunshots heard around rues Main and Duquette around 11:30 p.m.
They said in an update Friday morning that officers found someone there with serious injuries who was later pronounced dead.
Police did not say if they believe the victim was shot, nor if they believe someone else shot them. Reporters on scene have seen police coming in and out of Bar 77 at that intersection.
