Duke basketball’s Cameron Boozer is officially off to the 2026 NBA Draft.
The National Player of the Year announced his decision on Friday, April 24.
Boozer averaged 22.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 55.6% from the field, all team-highs, during his lone season in Durham. He set the Duke freshman records for rebounds (389) and free throws made (221) and posted 22 double-doubles, tied for most in the nation, just the second Blue Devil to do so.
Son of former Blue Devil Carlos Boozer, Cameron came to Duke alongside twin brother Cayden. Natives of Miami, the two played high school basketball at Columbus High School. Duke announced Cayden’s return for his sophomore season on Thursday, April 16.
Along with National Player of the Year honors, Boozer was the Wooden Award winner and finished as a First-Team All American and was the ACC’s Player and Rookie of the Year.
Boozer is a projected top-3 pick and he would be the 60th Duke player, sixth under Scheyer, to be selected in the first round of the draft. Isaiah Evans is the other Blue Devil to declare for the draft.
The first round of the 2026 NBA Draft is set for June 23, 2026.
