Why Falcons selected AJ Terrell’s brother, Avieon, in Round 2 of 2026 NFL Draft

The Atlanta Falcons made a family pick during the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Atlanta used their selection in Round 2 at No. 48 overall on Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell, who is the brother of Falcons former All-Pro cornerback AJ Terrell.

The Terrell brothers reuniting in Atlanta is an awesome story, but Avieon actually fills a major need for the Falcons.

Terrell should be a future starter on Atlanta’s defense.

The Clemson product allowed a 52.3% completion rate during his college career, proving to be a shutdown corner and difference maker in the Tigers’ secondary.

Now, he heads to the Falcons, where he will likely compete for a starting spot opposite his brother.
