ESPAÑOLA, N.M. — A massive brush fire is burning in Española Friday evening, prompting evacuation orders.
According to Interim Fire Chief John Wickersham, the fire is 100 acres and two to three structures have been destroyed.
Residents from Santa Claran Casino to the Fairview Bridge are being told to evacuate.
The La Mesilla and San Pedro centers are open and available as refuge locations for anyone in need of a safe place.
