The incident happened at the Co-op on Ombersley Road in Worcester – known locally as the ‘Big Co-op’.
Pictures from the scene show a window smashed and potentially forced open.
It is understood that West Mercia Police is investigating the incident.

One person said: “Waiting for the Co-op on Ombersley Road to open, and someone has smashed the window in overnight.
“I don’t know any more details.
“Surprised to see this happening here.
“I asked in the Co-op, and they said they can’t comment as it’s an ongoing police investigation.”
West Mercia Police has been approached for comment.
