It’s not enough for fans of Megan Thee Stallion to make lowlights compilations of Klay Thompson’s NBA games on TikTok — they also need to support their girl in person. After her public breakup from Thompson on April 25, Megan performed her role as Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! and cried her way through the bows. In a video of the performance shared on X, the audience is extra loud and supportive, giving Megan a full standing ovation and shouting, “We love you!” Megan, meanwhile, gets increasingly emotional, turns away from the audience to wipe her tears, then pulls herself together and smiles so that the show can go on and everybody else can bow as well. Even hot girls get emotional sometimes.
And that is especially true when someone’s had the week that Megan’s had. She revealed via Instagram Story on April 25 that she broke up with her boyfriend, Dallas Mavericks player Thompson. “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house,” she said on her Story. “Got ‘cold feet.’ Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? bitch I need a REAL break after this one.” She then confirmed to People that they were over. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward,” she said in a statement. So it does feel like she needed that applause.
