A major, major linkup happened this past weekend, one that will rock the world of your Bravo-obsessed friend who also has an affinity for the film Salt. On Saturday, at a mother-daughter luncheon hosted by the Nu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha at Spelman College, the Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant was hanging out with Angelina Jolie.
Jolie’s daughter Zahara and Bryant’s daughter Angel are both AKA members at Spelman and apparently have hit it off. Bryant shared a photo from the luncheon on her Instagram Story in which she and Angel are posing alongside Jolie, Zahara, and another mother-daughter duo. “Mother Daughter Magic,” Bryant captioned the photo — a very classy way to post a photo with one of the most famous women alive.

Of course, a friendship between Zahara and Angel does make sense when you think about it. Both of them were raised in the public eye by famous parents (not to mention they have tense relationships with their dads). It would actually make less sense if these girls hadn’t hit it off.
At the luncheon, Zahara introduced her mother with a touching speech. “When I was asked today to speak on the value of mother-daughter relationships, it felt challenging to find the words,” she said. “Not challenging because I don’t value it but because my mom and I have a unique, almost kindred relationship that could be hard to put into words.” Zahara praised Jolie for raising her and her siblings “on the value of helping others, being kind, and always striving for growth as people.” Jolie then took to the podium and called mother-daughter bonds “one of life’s most beautiful relationships.”
That is lovely! More than anything, though, I’m looking forward to seeing how Bryant wields this experience on the next season of Potomac. I bet Karen Huger is so jealous.
