Taylor Swift did not participate in American Idol‘s night of her music and now we know where she was instead of attending the live taping.

The 36-year-old entertainer was spotted out for dinner at the Jane Hotel on Monday night (April 27) in New York City.

Taylor was joined by her dad Scott Swift, longtime best friend Ashley Avignone, frequent music collaborator Jack Antonoff, and friend Jerrod Carmichael.
