A pastor who made negative comments online about members of his congregation has been sacked from his day job as a police officer.
The offensive words were posted on the social media profile of a church associated with PC Daniel Stanley.
Essex Police found this amounted to gross misconduct and dismissed him without notice.
Assistant Chief Constable Lucy Morris said Stanley’s actions “fell far below” the standards expected of officers.
