The San Antonio Spurs have won their first playoff series since 2017 as they defeated the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.
Despite an injury scare from superstar Victor Wembanyama early in the series, the team marched forward as they beat the Trail Blazers 114-95 to eliminate Portland from the playoffs in five games.
De’Aaron Fox led the team in points with 21 along with nine assists while Wembanyama notched 17 points and 14 rebounds.

After advancing to the second round, the Spurs will now will face the winner of the Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves first-round series, which Minnesota leads 3-2. As the No. 2 seed, the Spurs will host Game 1 and Game 2 at Frost Bank Center before heading on the road.
