Suryakumar Yadav close to surpassing Pollard in MI run charts

Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav is nine runs away from overtaking Kieron Pollard as the franchise’s second-highest run-scorer. He could reach this milestone during the team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.
Suryakumar currently holds third place with 3,907 runs in 121 matches and 119 innings, averaging 37.56 with a strike rate of 151.14, including two centuries and 29 fifties. Pollard has 3,915 runs in 211 matches and 193 innings, averaging 28.78 with a strike rate of 147.01 and 18 fifties.
The top run-scorer in Mumbai Indians history is Rohit Sharma, who has amassed 6,289 runs in 240 matches and 236 innings, averaging 29.93 with a strike rate of 132.72, including two centuries and 41 fifties. Should Suryakumar reach 93 runs, he would become the second Mumbai Indians batsman to score 4,000 runs.
Suryakumar has had a modest IPL season so far, scoring 157 runs in seven innings at an average of 22.42 and a strike rate of 142.72, with one fifty. After a strong start earlier in the year, including a dominant 84 not out against the USA in the T20 World Cup opener in February, his form has declined. Over the 15 innings since that match, he has scored 315 runs at an average of 21 and a strike rate of 132.35, with only one half-century.
In 21 T20 internationals this year, Suryakumar has scored 641 runs at an average of 35.61 and a strike rate of 156.64, including five fifties.
