Where did Pistons go wrong? Reacting to Game 4 loss to Magic
Reacting to the Detroit Pistons’ 94-88 loss to the Orlando Magic in Game 4 of the NBA playoffs in Orlando, Monday, April 27, 2026.
It’s now a win-or-go-home situation for the Detroit Pistons, but they may have just caught a break.
The 1-seed Pistons are playing the 8-seed Orlando Magic in Game 5 in the 2026 NBA playoffs on Wednesday, April 29, at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit and the Magic will be without one of their best players.
Former Michigan star Franz Wagner has been ruled out for the Magic in Game 5 with a calf injury for the game that is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and will stream exclusively on Amazon’s Prime Video.
The game won’t be on a traditional TV channel, which means you’ll need a smart device and a Prime subscription to watch.

The Pistons fell on the road in Game 4, 94-88, to the Magic and now trail Orlando 3-1 in the series. That means the Pistons will have to win their next three games to keep their title hopes alive, though hope has not arrived in abundance after a Game 4 dud in Orlando.
The Pistons will be back at LCA, however, with a chance to steer momentum in their direction. And this is a situation the franchise has been in before, with the 2003 Pistons also facing a 3-1 deficit to the 8-seed Magic before winning three games in a row to advance to the second round.
And for their sake, these Pistons are hoping for a repeat of that turnaround.
