“Luke played very well there and he said to be at the end, ‘I needed those two points’. But if he carries on into next week then he’ll have a chance.
“Everyone knows he’s been struggling but it was good to have us two playing like that and I think his worst leg was the last leg.
“That’s the chase now, to break my own record [for nightly wins]. The last two weeks, I’ve definitely deserved the win.”
On being back top of the table: “I always want to be on the top and I think Jonny [Clayton], I don’t know if he’s much bothered about it. He just wants to get to the O2 and, obviously, we’ve both got Qs next to our names.
“Now it is just time to chase and hopefully break my own records.”
