Jesse Watters Escorted Away From Queen Camilla After Gun Joke

During Wednesday’s episode of “The Five,” the conservative media personality recounted his series of social blunders that evening, starting with a snag getting past security.

After making it past the checkpoint, where he was told “every member of Fox screwed up” their paperwork for the event, Watters got a taste of King Charles′ famously dry wit.

Watters said that “the king had no idea who I was” and acknowledged him with a pithy “Well, they must really love you here” when Watters told Charles he hosts two Fox News shows.

Moving on to Queen Camilla, Watters asked about her stop by the White House-shaped beehive recently installed on the South Lawn. He said she replied, “It was very good. No one got stung.”

Watters clearly wasn’t minding his mouth in the presence of royalty, replying, “Well, you know, it was Washington, D.C., you know. If the bees don’t get you, the guns will,” before a handler quickly pulled him away from the queen.

“I don’t know what I was saying,” Watters told his dumbstruck co-hosts. “Ugh. I started mumbling.”

The president and his supporters have long claimed the capital is a hotbed of violent crime, a sentiment that inspired Trump’s controversial decision to send the National Guard to police the city last August.
