Katie Price has slammed a now-sacked Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officer who was found to have made a remark which mockingly referenced her disabled son.
Sgt Natalie Dolan, who was part of the team which trained new recruits, referred to student officers as ‘Harveys who need to be read to’ – which a misconduct hearing was told is reference to former glamour model Ms Price’s son Harvey.
He has been diagnosed with a number of conditions including autism and a rare genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome.

The jibe was contained in a number of WhatsApp messages from Sgt Dolan to a former officer over an 18 month period between April 2021 and July 2022, which were uncovered by GMP. The force said they were ”discriminatory, ableist and generally offensive.’
Sgt Dolan’s barrister, Jennifer Ferrario, told the misconduct hearing that the reference was a ‘joke’ and related to a ‘Harvey GIF’ Katie Price herself posted on social media which referenced it having ‘been a hard day.’ She later added it as a ‘joke in bad taste.’

However the panel found the sergeant had been ‘disparaging of disabled people’ and had ‘used language in a way that was ‘discriminatory.’ She was found guilty of gross misconduct and dismissed without notice on Thursday (April 30), following the conclusion of a four-day hearing.
Ms Price has now hit out at her behaviour. In a post on Facebook on Wednesday, after details of the hearing were reported, she said: “I will do everything and anything to stop this disgusting behaviour from professionals mocking and making disgusting remarks about my son!!”
The panel also found Sgt Dolan had made ‘disparaging or offensive remarks about colleagues’ in 23 messages, and that she had ‘‘mocked’ student officers in four. Its chair, GMP’s Chief Resource Officer Lee Rawlinson, said: “PS Dolan acted in a way that was a serious departure from expected ethical standards.”

He said the panel had also found it proved that she had shared ‘confidential’ and ‘sensitive’ information’ about trainee officers with the former officer, named only as PC Jones, when there was ‘no proper policing purpose.’ He added she had allowed a conflict of interest to occur with former PC Jones.
“Taken together, these breaches of standards were so serious, that they amount to gross misconduct” Mr Rawlinson said.
He said the panel had found that it had not been proven any of the messages were racist or sexist. However he said that any ‘fair minded, reasonable person’ would ‘not find it acceptable’ for Sgt Dolan to remain in her post and that ‘the only option is dismissal.’ She was also added to the College of Policing barring list.
In a statement issued after the hearing, DS Dave Jones, from the force’s Professional Standards Directorate, said: “The behaviour identified in this case was wholly unacceptable and does not reflect the many hard-working and committed officers within Greater Manchester Police. GMP is committed to creating a professional, inclusive, and respectful working environment.
“There is no place in our organisation for behaviour that discriminates on the grounds of any characteristic. I hope this outcome demonstrates that we will take robust action where standards are not met, regardless of rank or role.”
