Bellway has acquired land for 85 homes in Chipping Ongar, Essex.
The development, Haycroft Gardens, will provide homes that vary from three to five bedrooms, with 40% as affordable. Plans include open space featuring a children’s play area and a £1.4m investment in local services.
This development will deliver an overall biodiversity net gain through the planting of trees, shrubs and a wildflower grass mix.
Additionally, Bellway’s financial contributions under the planning agreement will include funding for early years education, healthcare facilities, sports facilities, community facilities and library services.
Planning permission has been granted unanimously by Epping Forest District Council, with the first homes due to be completed in early 2027.
