Vauxhall has opened orders for the new Grandland Griffin, replacing the entry-level Design trim on electric and hybrid models, adding more specification at an affordable price. The introduction of Griffin represents a greater value-for-money proposition for the Grandland line-up.
Griffin adds to the already generously equipped Design specification, upgrading the 19-inch alloy wheels to black (or 20-inch diamond-cut wheels on the electric version), adding a black roof and tinted rear windows. The Griffin retains the Grandland’s trademark 3D Vizor and illuminated rear Vauxhall nameplate.
Inside, the Griffin offers more equipment as standard over the outgoing Design trim, including heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The driver’s seat is also certified by AGR1 and features 10-way adjustment, including pneumatic lumbar control and powered cushion angle adjustment. This makes the Griffin not only more affordable but better equipped for everyday comfort and convenience.
Griffin trim retains driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, rear-view camera and Intelli-LED headlights and taillights. On the interior, Griffin is equipped with a multimedia infotainment system featuring a 10-inch touchscreen with BluetoothÒ and wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™, and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster.
The Grandland Griffin offers customers a choice of electrified powertrains. The Grandland Electric features a 73kWh (net) battery, a 213hp motor with 345Nm of torque, and energy-saving features such as a standard-fit heat pump, enabling a range of up to 322 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. It also supports rapid charging, allowing an 80% charge in around 30 minutes with a 160kW DC rapid charging.
A 48V hybrid is also available, which combines a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with a 28PS electric motor to deliver a combined 145PS and the ability to drive on electric power alone over 50% of the time in urban environments. Paired with a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, it is capable of up to 51.4mpg (WLTP), emits as little as 123g/km of CO2, and is capable of 0-62mph in 10.2 seconds.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS
Vauxhall Motors started making cars in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain’s automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all and offer design, high levels of equipment and technology, and electrification at an attainable level. Vauxhall is one of few automotive brands to produce electric vehicles in Britain at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first electric-only manufacturing plant where the Combo Electric van is made. Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign raises the profile of the need for more on-street electric vehicle charging so that everyone can benefit from the switch to electric. Find out more at www.electricstreets.co.uk
Vauxhall is proud to be the official automotive partner of Team GB. The partnership sees Britain’s most loved sports team and one of Britain’s most recognisable automotive brands joining forces, with Vauxhall supporting athletes as they prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. Vauxhall is a leader in electrification – as of 2021, it was one of the first manufacturers to offer fully electric versions of all its vans. Since the end of 2024, Vauxhall has offered a fully electric version of every model in its car and van line-up. Info: www.vauxhall.co.uk
