A wave of sorrow has swept through the motorsports community following reports surrounding Adria Hight, the daughter of iconic drag racing figure John Force. Her untimely passing now draws quiet attention. Obituaries appeared online, then were shared widely by voices familiar with her family’s long story in racing.

In the high-octane world of NHRA drag racing, not every key player grabs headlines from the driver’s seat – and Adria Hight is a prime example. Though her name rarely echoes over loudspeakers at race day, Adria Hight shapes outcomes from the office.

From the start, Adria Hight grew up immersed in engine noise and dragstrip lights. She’s the daughter of John Force and Laurie Force. While her sisters – Ashley Force Hood, Brittany Force, Courtney Force – took center stage behind the wheel, she turned instead toward data and systems. Through quiet precision, she helped build the backbone of John Force Racing. Her path unfolded off the track, yet remained deeply tied to its pulse.

What most overlook amid the races and wins is how she shapes things quietly – handling funding, deals, and agreements that keep momentum going. Step by step, the time spent learning each piece of the business brought her to the CFO role. There, numbers face split-second choices.

Her husband, Robert Hight, took over as leader of the group shortly after their marriage in 1999, marking a quiet shift behind the scenes. Growing up near roaring engines and flashing holiday-style countdowns, their daughter Autumn follows paths shaped long before her birth – paths mixing spotlight moments with unseen work.

Adria Hight passes away at 56, tributes pour in across the racing community

A quiet stillness settled across racetracks after Adria (Force) Hight passed at the age of 56 on April 28, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by her family. Though details remain private, grief lingers among those who knew her through engines and speed. Tributes now flow steadily.

Journalist Aaron ‘AJ’ England shared the update about Adria Hight’s death through a message on X. He shared that just at 56 years old, she has passed away, leaving behind a quiet yet vital legacy tied to her father’s racing career. Though rarely seen in public view, much of what shaped John Force Racing began with her steady efforts behind the scenes.

He wrote:

“Adria Hight (John Force’s oldest daughter) has passed away at 56. While much of her work happened behind the scenes, she was there from the very beginning of JFR, helping build it from the ground up. Thinking of the Force family during this time.”

Before the group became well known, her efforts quietly shaped what would come. When the announcement came, England spoke with care, acknowledging the weight of grief for those who knew her best.

According to Dignity Memorial, as she wanted, the funeral will happen privately, followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. Later this year, a gathering open to everyone will honor her life somewhere in California.
