Blues ink Holloway to 5-year extension with reported $7.75M AAV

The St. Louis Blues signed forward Dylan Holloway to a five-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.

The deal carries a cap hit of $7.75 million, reports The Athletic’s Jeremy Rutherford.

Holloway tallied 22 goals and 51 points in 59 games this season and was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1.

The 24-year-old was exceptional after the Olympic break. Holloway was tied for seventh in NHL scoring with 34 points in 25 contests post-break, and his plus-26 rating in that span paced the league.

The Blues signed Holloway as an RFA from the Oilers in August 2024, sending a third-round pick to Edmonton in compensation.

Holloway immediately broke out with St. Louis, notching 26 goals and 63 points in 77 contests during the 2024-25 campaign. He previously had nine goals and 18 points across 89 contests with Edmonton.

The Oilers drafted Holloway 14th overall in 2020 out of the University of Wisconsin.
